(Where in the World is now accepting submissions from Wisconsin based traditional dance artists.
The festival will take place in Spring 2026 at the UW Milwaukee Mainstage Theatre. Wisconsin based Artists and Companies working in traditional dance are encouraged to submit a work sample for consideration by November 1, 2025.
All forms of traditional dance and those pressing the boundaries of traditional dance are encouraged.
Multidisciplinary work is welcome.
Work samples should be accompanied by a brief artist/company statement.
Please link your work sample via streaming platform (YouTube/Vimeo) or DropBox/Google Drive. Ensure viewing permissions are enabled prior to submission.
Up to 15 minutes of video footage will be reviewed. Use the video notes field to add time cues for the section(s) you would like the panel to view.
All choreographers/companies will receive a stipend for their participation.
Travel stipends will be provided.
Invitations to participate in the 2026 Festival will be sent by 12/15.
